New formula
We've made a few improvements to the formulation of Sun Body Lotion Shimmer Edition, and as a result, the color of the lotion itself has changed – this has no impact on sun protection or the golden glitter effect.
Effect:
The most important job for Sun Body Lotion Shimmer Edition is to ensure that your skin is protected against both UVA and UVB rays. While your skin is being protected, it is also being soothed and nourished by active ingredients, including sea buckthorn which is rich in strengthening and revitalizing antioxidants, soothing chamomile that calms the skin, and intensely moisturizing cucumber extract. The cherry on top is the sun cream’s hint of degradable golden shimmer that gives your skin a beautiful glow in the sun.
Fragrance:
The sun cream carries the scent of the natural ingredients it is crafted with, combined with a touch of Rudolph Care’s Nordic Swan Ecolabeled signature fragrance. Notably, notes from sea buckthorn stand out, giving the cream its unique character. Working with natural ingredients means that the scent of our products is as ever-changing as the nature they are made from, which is why you may sometimes notice new scent nuances in the product.

A light lotion that is quick to absorb and easy to apply – without feeling greasy or sticky and without leaving a white residue.

How to use

Step 1
Apply thoroughly
Be generous when using sun cream. Apply plenty for best possible protection – a handful of lotion for your entire body 30 minutes before you head out into the sun. We recommend that you apply two layers of sunscreen to your skin – one right after the other – to avoid missing a spot and to be sure you apply enough sun cream. Remember the exposed areas on your shoulders and back of your neck. Don’t forget your hands!

Tip
Protect your face with Sun Face Cream and exposed areas with Sun Stick. Always remember that protecting yourself once too often is better than once too little – especially when you have been swimming, when your sweat and/or dry yourself with a towel.

Yes, but we recommend that you reapply sun cream after swimming, if you sweat or if you dry yourself with a towel.
Sun cream may stain clothes and other items. Let the sun cream dry completely before you get dressed. The sun filter that protects against the sun’s UVA and UVB rays may in some instances cause discoloration. This can be avoided if you wait for a while after application of the product before getting dressed. Consider your choice of clothes and towels – perhaps leave your most delicate clothes, your silky white dress and white towels at home. You may also minimize the risk of staining if you wash your hands after application. If you should be unlucky, we recommend the following:
- Apply plenty of detergent to colored textiles directly onto the stain and let it work overnight – e.g. in a closed plastic bag. This makes the textile fibers expand to allow any discoloration to loosen.
- Wash your clothes according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Repeat the process 2-3 times, if required.
Whether you choose SPF 15, 30 or 50 depends on many things. According to official recommendations published by the Danish Health Authority, SPF 15 is enough in Denmark, but this very much depends on your skin type. If you have fair skin and you are intending to stay out in the sun for an extended period, we recommend you always protect yourself with SPF 30 or 50. We also recommend that you use a minimum of SPF 30 if you are travelling to areas in which the sun is stronger than in Denmark. Checking the UV index and finding out how strong the sun is in the areas where you may be traveling is always a good idea – and so is keeping updated on the intensity of the sun in Denmark.
