What characterizes young skin?
Like all types of skin, young skin can behave very differently. Especially during puberty, changes can occur in the skin due to hormonal changes. Therefore, as a young person, you may experience increased sebum production, acne and blemishes, changes in skin texture, increased sensitivity, hyperpigmentation, and the development of body odor.
It can be very individual what works on skin undergoing hormonal changes. But we know that a good routine with the right products is often a good step in the right direction:
1. Cleanse the skin
Use a gentle facial cleanser that removes dirt, oil, and makeup – without drying out the skin.
2. Moisturize the skin
Although the skin may be more oily as a young person, it is important to use a lightweight cream that maintains moisture balance and does not clog pores.
3. Avoid squeezing pimples
When squeezing, picking, and scratching pimples, you can worsen the condition, even spread it further around the face – and in the worst case, cause scarring.
4. Use sunscreen
Protecting the skin from the sun's rays prevents sun damage and protects against hyperpigmentation.
5. Lifestyle
A balanced diet, adequate sleep, and a stress-free life can contribute to better conditions for the skin.
