More about Sun Body Oil
Effect
The most important job for Sun Body Oil is to ensure that your skin is protected against both UVA and UVB rays. While your skin is being protected, nourished and cared for by the rich oils from rapeseed, sunflower, sea buckthorn and wheat germ found in the product. A high concentration of special antioxidants revitalize the skin and strengthen its elasticity. Sun Body Oil is water resistant and is quickly absorbed in the skin without feeling greasy or dry.
Fragrance
The sun oil smells faintly of the ingredients it contains as well as the natural signature fragrance that characterizes most of the Rudolph Care suncare range – the smell of sun, beach and warm summer holidays.
Consistency
A soft and rich oil that is absorbed quickly into the skin without feeling greasy or drying out.
Certifications
Sun Body Oil carries the Nordic Swan Ecolabel certification to ensure that the product does not contain ingredients that may negatively impact your health or the natural world. The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is also your guarantee that coral reefs are not damaged when you swim in the sea. The product also carries the Vegan Trademark label. How to use Sun Body Oil
Apply sun oil
Be generous when using sun oil. Apply plenty for best possible protection – a handful of Sun Body Oil for your entire body 30 minutes before you head out into the sun.
One more time
We recommend that you apply sun oil to your skin twice – second application immediately after the first – to avoid missing a spot and to be sure you apply enough sun oil. Remember the exposed areas on your shoulders and back of your neck. Don’t forget your hands!
Tip
Protect your face with Sun Face Cream and exposed areas with Sun Stick. Always remember that protecting yourself once too often is better than once too little – especially when you have been swimming, when you sweat and/or dry yourself with a towel.
Sun Body Oil Q&A
Yes, but we recommend that you apply new sun oil after swimming, if you sweat or if you dry yourself with a towel.
Sun protection may stain clothes and other items. Especially oil that may already have a tendency to stain if it is not given time to absorb. Let the sun oil dry completely before you get dressed. The sun filter that protects against the sun’s UVA and UVB rays may in some instances cause discoloration. This can be avoided if you wait for a while after application of the product before getting dressed. Consider your choice of clothes and towels – maybe leave your most delicate clothes, your silky white dress and white towels at home. You may also minimize the risk of staining if you wash your hands after application. If you should be unlucky, we recommend the following:
- Apply plenty of detergent to colored textiles directly onto the stain and let it work overnight – perhaps in a closed plastic bag. This makes the textile fibers expand to allow any discoloration to loosen.
- Wash your clothes according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Repeat the process 2-3 times, if required.
Whether you choose SPF 15, 30 or 50 depends on many things. According to official recommendations published by the Danish Health Authority, SPF 15 is enough in Denmark, but this very much depends on your skin type. If you have fair skin and you are intending to stay out in the sun for an extended period, we recommend you always protect yourself with SPF 30 or 50. We also recommend that you use a minimum of SPF 30 if you are travelling to areas in which the sun is stronger than in Denmark. Checking the UV index and finding out how strong the sun is in the areas where you may be traveling is always a good idea – and so is keeping updated on the intensity of the sun in Denmark.
