The stable, reliable chemical sun filters
At Rudolph Care, we are proud of the way we have chosen to innovate and compose our sun products. We use five chemical sun filters, all of which meet EU recommendations for optimal UVA and UVB protection and are approved by the environmental certification, the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. The chemical sun filters that protect your skin are:
- Ethylhexyl triazone: chemical UVB filter
- Diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate: chemical UVA filter
- Diethylhexyl butamido triazone: chemical UVB filter
- Bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine: chemical, oil-soluble UVA filter which has a synergy effect on UVB filters and other UV filters
- Bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine: chemical, water-soluble UVA filter which has a synergy effect on UVB filters and other UV filters
But hey, 'chemical'?
The word 'chemical' can sound negative, but it isn't, if you make an effort and choose the good, safe kind. We have chosen the chemical filters because we believe that good chemistry makes sense to use where it benefits the most – and it does in our sun series. When a sun filter is chemically produced, it means it is controlled. This enables us to have 100% knowledge of the content and effect of the finished product. Another reason why the chemical filters are our favorite is that they do not feel greasy, sticky, or leave a white residue.
