The story of Rudolph Care doesn’t begin in a laboratory, but on a beach in Rio de Janeiro, where founder Andrea Elisabeth Rudolph first tasted açai – the deep purple berry that Brazilians adore for its strength and nourishment.
That first encounter became the starting point of a journey to the Amazon, where açai grows in the crowns of tall palm trees – and where Rudolph Care has partnered with the same local community for more than a decade. Here, the organic açai berries are carefully hand-harvested.
Açai is at the heart of our rose-toned collection, especially our iconic Açai Facial Oil. Not just because of its origin, but because it is a powerful ingredient that nurtures, protects and cares for the skin.

From the rainforest to your skin
For over a decade, Rudolph Care has collaborated with the same local community in the Amazon, more precisely Nazarezinho do Meruú, located in the northeastern part of the Brazilian state of Pará. The community is home to around 250 families.
During the main harvest season in October, the açai berries for our products are picked deep in the rainforest. Harvesting follows traditional methods: the locals climb the tall açai palms using a palm leaf or rope wrapped around their feet, cutting down the big clusters of berries.
The berries are gathered in large baskets and sailed by boat to a nearby harbor, where they are transported to our local production partner. Here, the berries are dried under the Brazilian sun, then processed with precision, becoming the velvety, potent oil.
Finally, the açai oil is shipped to our manufacturer in Denmark, where it is transformed into the finished Rudolph Care products. The last stop in this journey is your skin – where açai delivers visible results and a naturally radiant glow.

Açai is rich in antioxidants, minerals, and essential fatty acids that the skin loves.
Our signature product, Açai Facial Oil, is the purest expression of this organic oil – only enriched with a touch of vitamin E as a mild preservative and a hint of our natural signature scent.
The antioxidants in açai, especially vitamins C and E, as well as polyphenols with their anti-inflammatory properties, strengthen the skin, promote a more even tone, and leave it with a vibrant, radiant glow.
The minerals in açai support the skin’s natural functions, helping to soothe, restore, and maintain its balance – especially when the skin feels stressed or challenged by external factors.
And the essential fatty acids, mainly omega-6 and omega-9, help lock in moisture, strengthen the skin barrier, and improve softness and elasticity. The result is skin that feels supple, resilient, and beautifully cared for.
